Learning the Business from the Ground Up

DETROIT (WXYZ) - Dozens of students are learning to become their own bosses. The future entrepreneurs delivered "mock" business plans as they competed for scholarships in Detroit. It's all part of a program offered by the Detroit School District and the law firm Foley and Lardner. It's called the "Idea" program, and it helps add real-world experience to what kids learn in the classroom. About 75 students participated, and some of them even gained mentors from the experience.
